Nissan Gravite is one of the newer entrants in the affordable 7-seater space and stands out with its focus on practicality and fuel efficiency. One of its key highlights is its twin-cylinder CNG setup, which is designed to improve space utilisation while offering claimed fuel efficiency of up to 24 km/kg. The layout also helps preserve usable third-row space, an important consideration for buyers choosing a 7-seater.

Gravite comes with features such as a dual dashcam with front and rear cameras, a 20.32-cm touchscreen infotainment system, a 17.78-cm fully digital instrument cluster and TPMS. Six airbags are also offered. Prices start at ₹6.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, buyers should note that the CNG retrofitment kit mentioned for the Gravite is supplied by a third party. The CNG warranty and related terms and conditions are therefore governed by the third-party kit provider.

Inside, the MPV is designed around family usability, with spacious seating, storage spaces and comfort-focused features aimed at both everyday commuting and long-distance journeys.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga remains one of the most established names in India’s 7-seater MPV segment, combining a spacious cabin with a proven powertrain and family-friendly features.

Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 75.8 kW of maximum power and 139 Nm of peak torque. It is also equipped with the HEARTECT platform and gets six airbags as standard, adding to its safety credentials.

For buyers opting for the automatic version, the Ertiga gets a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Hill Hold Assist is also available to make driving on inclines easier. The Ertiga is priced from around ₹10.85 lakh to ₹11.95 lakh, depending on the CNG variant.

Toyota Rumion is a 7-seater MPV that combines three-row practicality with the fuel-cost advantage of CNG. It is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine with Toyota’s NeoDrive and E-CNG technology.
The CNG version delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 26.11 km/kg, making the Rumion one of the more fuel-efficient options for families looking for a spacious 7-seater.

The MPV gets a 6-speed transmission and is designed to offer a comfortable and practical driving experience for both daily commutes and long family journeys.
The Toyota Rumion CNG is priced from around ₹11.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Renault Triber is another affordable option for buyers looking for a flexible 7-seater with the option of CNG.
It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque. The MPV is also available with a 5-speed automatic transmission, offering a more convenient driving experience, particularly in city traffic.

Renault Triber CNG variant prices start at approximately ₹7.41 Lakh (ex-showroom). A key advantage of the Triber is the availability of a government-approved CNG kit through Renault’s network across India. The company claims a fuel efficiency of around 20 km/kg with CNG. The CNG kit comes with a 3-year/1,00,000-km standard warranty, whichever comes earlier, according to the company.
