Bengaluru Traffic News: Bengaluru’s evening commute turned difficult on Monday after a sudden spell of rain left water accumulating on several roads. The downpour arrived during peak traffic hours, slowing vehicles and extending journey times across multiple parts of the city.

According to traffic police, motorists faced slow-moving traffic on both sides of the road on the Srinivagilu-Airview stretch. Water on the carriageway was affecting the flow of vehicles in the area.

A similar situation was seen between Thanisandra and Nagawara, where traffic crawled in both directions following water accumulation on the road, as reported by Deccan Herald.

A commuter heading towards Nagawara described the conditions as particularly difficult, saying, “The waterlogging has made the road difficult to navigate and vehicles are moving bumper to bumper.”

Balagere-Kadubeesanahalli Traffic Slows Down

The rain also affected traffic between Balagere Circle and Kadubeesanahalli. Vehicles heading towards Kadubeesanahalli were moving at a particularly slow pace, with waterlogged portions of the route adding to the congestion.

As the evening rush intensified, the accumulated water made it harder for traffic to clear the affected stretches, resulting in further delays for motorists.

Geddalahalli Sees Extended Travel Times

Traffic conditions were also slow around Vaddarapalya Junction towards Geddalahalli, with vehicles facing delays in both directions.

The impact on journey times was significant for some commuters. A motorist near Geddalahalli took to X to share that a trip which normally takes around 30 minutes had already stretched beyond an hour.

Vidyashilpa Route Also Waterlogged

Another affected location was the Vidyashilpa stretch towards Coffee Day, where waterlogging disrupted the movement of vehicles and caused additional delays.

The combination of rain and the evening peak-hour rush put further pressure on Bengaluru’s road network. Water accumulation at several locations resulted in slower traffic and longer journeys on both major arterial roads and connecting routes.
