Ganeshotsav 2026: Mumbai Metro services will operate beyond their usual hours during Ganeshotsav 2026, with Metro One extending its services until 1.03 am from September 14 to September 25 to facilitate convenient and safe travel for passengers.
The extended operating hours have been announced ahead of the 12-day festive period, when large numbers of devotees and residents are expected to travel across Mumbai to visit Ganesh pandals and take part in the celebrations.

Mumbai Metro One Last Train Timings
Under the revised schedule, the last Mumbai Metro One trains will operate at the following times:
- Versova to Ghatkopar: 12.15 am
- Ghatkopar to Versova: 12.40 am
The last train departing Ghatkopar will reach Versova at 1.03 am
Passengers travelling late at night have been advised to take note of the revised timings and plan their journeys accordingly.
Extended Metro Services During Ganeshotsav
The extended services will operate for 12 days, from September 14 to September 25.
Mumbai Metro One said it remains committed to providing safe, reliable and convenient transport services for residents during the festive season, when increased passenger movement is expected across the city.
Metro Line 3 Services Extended Until Midnight
Meanwhile, devotees travelling to Ganeshotsav celebrations will have additional time to visit pandals and return home, with the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) extending services on the Aqua Line, or Metro Line 3, until midnight during the festive period. According to officials, the extended services will be available from September 14 to September 25, giving passengers additional travel time during the celebrations.
At present, the last trains from both terminal stations, Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR, depart at 10.30 pm. Under the revised schedule, services will continue until midnight, giving passengers an additional 90 minutes of travel time.
Metro Line 3 passes through several areas expected to witness large crowds during Ganeshotsav, including Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Worli, Mahalaxmi and Girgaon, officials said. The extended operating hours are expected to offer devotees an alternative to road transport and help them avoid traffic congestion during the festival.
With large crowds expected at major Ganesh pandals across Mumbai, the extended Metro services are likely to provide commuters with a safer and more convenient option for travelling during the late hours.
