VinFast VF MPV 7 Price Cut By Rs. 4.1 Lakhs, Now Rs. 20.39 Lakh
VinFast India has revised the pricing of its three-row electric MPV, the VF MPV 7, bringing down its ex-showroom price by Rs. 4.1 lakhs. Launched in India at Rs. 24.49 lakhs, the electric MPV is now available at Rs. 20.39 lakhs, making it a considerably more affordable offering in the electric three-row vehicle segment.
The price revision comes more than six months after the model’s introduction in the Indian market. Interestingly, the reduction has been implemented without any changes to the vehicle’s equipment list, battery pack or mechanical specifications.
VinFast VF MPV 7: How does the new pricing compare?
The revised pricing improves the VF MPV 7’s position against other electric vehicles offering three-row seating. It was previously positioned towards the expensive end of the segment, but the latest reduction makes it one of the more competitively priced options.
The MPV is offered in a single, fully loaded configuration. When compared with the top-spec versions of its rivals, the VF MPV 7 can now be cheaper by as much as Rs. 9.76 lakhs, depending on the model being considered.
The price correction could help VinFast attract more buyers, particularly those looking for a spacious electric vehicle without moving into a significantly higher price bracket. However, pricing is only one part of the equation, and factors such as cabin comfort, equipment, after-sales support and brand presence will also influence buying decisions.
VinFast VF MPV 7: Battery, performance and range
There are no changes to the powertrain following the price revision. The VF MPV 7 continues to use a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 HP and 280 Nm of torque.
VinFast claims a 0-100 km/hr acceleration time of under 9 seconds, while the electric MPV has a claimed top speed of 140 km/hr. Its ARAI-certified range stands at 517 km on a single charge.
For charging, the vehicle supports AC charging at up to 6.9kW and DC fast charging at up to 80kW. These specifications remain unchanged with the revised pricing.
The lower price makes the VF MPV 7 a more accessible option for buyers considering an electric three-row vehicle. VinFast’s ownership programmes and additional purchase incentives could further improve its overall value proposition, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The latest price revision is an important move for VinFast as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s electric passenger vehicle market. Whether the reduced price translates into stronger demand will depend on how buyers respond to the MPV’s overall package beyond its pricing advantage.
