Honda Elevate Facelift 2026.
Honda Cars India has launched the facelifted version of its Elevate mid-size SUV in India on October 6, giving the popular SUV its first major update since it was introduced in 2023. India is also the first market globally to receive the updated Honda Elevate.
The facelift comes at an important time for Honda, with the mid-size SUV segment becoming increasingly competitive. Models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Hyryder and Skoda Kushaq have been adding more features and technology, raising expectations among buyers.
With the new Elevate, Honda has focused on giving the SUV a more distinctive exterior, a more premium cabin and some of the features that buyers have been asking for.
The biggest change is visible at the front of the SUV. The facelift gets a redesigned grille with a new pattern and segmented LED daytime running lights integrated into the grille. The Honda logo has also been moved to the bonnet, giving the front-end a different appearance compared with the outgoing model.
The SUV also gets revised lighting elements and other exterior design changes. At the rear, the facelift gets a connected LED tail-lamp treatment, adding to the more modern look.
The overall silhouette of the Elevate remains familiar, however. Honda has not attempted to turn the SUV into an entirely new model. Instead, the facelift is aimed at making the existing design look fresher and more premium.
Cabin Gets A More Premium Treatment
Honda has also worked on the interior of the Elevate. The facelift gets a lighter cabin theme with updated upholstery and additional soft-touch treatment. Ambient lighting has also been added to the dashboard and door-pad areas, giving the cabin a more premium feel, particularly at night.
The bigger story, however, is the addition of features. The updated Elevate gets equipment aimed at addressing some of the feature gaps of the outgoing model.
A factory-fitted 360-degree camera is among the key additions. The outgoing Elevate could get a 360-degree camera as a dealer-level accessory, but bringing it into the factory equipment list makes the feature more convenient for buyers.
Ventilated front seats are another important addition, bringing the Elevate closer to several rivals that already offer this feature.
Honda Elevate Facelift Engine: No Major Mechanical Change
If you were expecting Honda to introduce a new engine with the facelift, there is no major change on that front. The Elevate continues with Honda’s 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. The engine produces around 121hp and 145Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
Honda has not introduced the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain from the City in the Elevate facelift. The focus, therefore, remains on the existing petrol powertrain rather than a mechanical overhaul.
This could actually work in favour of buyers who prefer a relatively straightforward petrol SUV with a naturally aspirated engine and conventional transmission options.
The facelift does not bring a major mechanical change, so buyers should not expect a dramatic change in fuel efficiency compared with the outgoing Elevate.
Honda Elevate Facelift Price
Honda has announced the facelift in India, while the final variant-wise pricing and equipment structure will determine how aggressively it is positioned against rivals. The outgoing Elevate was priced from around Rs 11.81 lakh to Rs 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom), before the facelift. The updated model is expected to command a premium because of the additional equipment and design changes.
Honda had opened pre-bookings for the new Elevate for Rs 21,000 ahead of the launch.
Honda Elevate Facelift Vs Old Elevate: What’s Changed?
For buyers wondering whether this is a completely new SUV, the answer is no. The facelift retains the basic platform, overall proportions and 1.5-litre petrol engine of the existing Elevate. The changes are concentrated mainly around the exterior styling, cabin presentation and equipment. That makes the new Elevate more of a feature-and-design upgrade rather than a completely new-generation SUV.
Quick Answers
