Mahindra will unveil the Scorpio-N pickup on August 14 and launch the BE 6 Sporteq on August 15. Check expected price, features, battery, range and key details.

The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N pickup truck is the production version of the concept showcased by the company in 2023.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is set for a major Independence Day product offensive with two new vehicles arriving within a day of each other. The automaker will globally unveil its much-awaited Scorpio-N-based pickup truck on August 14, followed by the launch of the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq electric SUV in India on August 15.
The two models target very different segments but underline Mahindra’s growing focus on lifestyle vehicles and electric SUVs. While the Scorpio-N pickup is expected to take the company’s rugged SUV DNA into the lifestyle pickup segment, the BE 6 Sporteq will add a more distinctive and technology-focused version to the BE 6 electric SUV range.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Pickup: What We Know So Far
The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N pickup truck is the production version of the concept showcased by the company in 2023. It is based on the Scorpio-N’s body-on-frame platform and is expected to feature a double-cab layout with a sizeable rear cargo bed.
The pickup will get a substantially redesigned front-end compared with the Scorpio-N SUV. Teaser images show slim LED headlamps, L-shaped LED daytime running lights, vertically positioned fog lamps and a redesigned grille. The tailgate is expected to carry large Mahindra lettering, giving the vehicle a distinctive lifestyle-pickup appearance.
The design is likely to retain the muscular stance associated with the Scorpio-N while adding the proportions and practicality expected from a pickup truck.
Scorpio-N Pickup Interior and Features
Inside, the Scorpio-N pickup is expected to borrow several elements from the Scorpio-N while receiving its own dashboard treatment. A portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and three-spoke steering wheel are among the features indicated by the teasers. The vehicle is also expected to offer modern connectivity and driver-assistance features, although Mahindra has not yet disclosed the complete equipment list.
The pickup is also expected to be positioned as an off-road-focused lifestyle vehicle. Four-wheel drive and multiple terrain modes are likely to be among its key capabilities. The existing Scorpio-N already offers 4XPLOR intelligent terrain management technology and four-wheel drive on select variants, along with petrol and diesel powertrains.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Pickup India Launch and Price
Mahindra has not yet confirmed the India launch date or pricing of the Scorpio-N-based pickup. The company is expected to reveal more details around its global debut. If Mahindra brings the pickup to India, it could enter the lifestyle pickup segment currently represented by models such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.
The pickup’s expected price is likely to be positioned at a premium over the Scorpio-N SUV, although the final ex-showroom price will depend on its engine, equipment and positioning.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq: Key Features
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq will be the more immediate India-focused launch, with its unveiling scheduled for August 15. The biggest change visible in the teasers is inside the cabin. The Sporteq will introduce a triple-screen dashboard, adding a dedicated display for the front passenger.
The standard BE 6 currently uses two 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The third screen will effectively extend the digital interface across the dashboard, giving the Sporteq a more technology-heavy cabin.
The new variant is also expected to receive a different interior theme featuring brown upholstery and red accents. A matte exterior finish will further distinguish the Sporteq from the regular BE 6.
Mahindra has yet to reveal the complete feature list, but the new variant is expected to retain the BE 6’s technology-led positioning, including connected features, premium audio and advanced safety equipment.
BE 6 Sporteq Battery, Range and Performance
The regular Mahindra BE 6 is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, with claimed ranges of 556 km and 683 km, respectively.
The 79 kWh version also supports fast charging, with Mahindra’s BE 6 technology package offering rapid charging capability. The BE 6 platform uses a rear-wheel-drive layout, while different drive modes and performance-oriented features are available depending on the variant.
The Sporteq is expected to retain the existing battery and rear-wheel-drive options, but Mahindra is yet to officially confirm its final specifications.
The company has previously equipped special BE 6 editions with features such as a 79 kWh battery, 210 kW peak power, 20-80% DC fast charging in around 20 minutes with a 180 kW charger, multiple driving modes and multi-stage regeneration.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Price in India
Mahindra has not announced the BE 6 Sporteq price yet. The company is expected to reveal the price, variant details, booking information and delivery timeline on August 15.
The Sporteq is expected to command a premium over the standard BE 6 because of its additional cabin technology and distinctive exterior and interior treatment. The final price, however, will be confirmed only at launch.
Scorpio-N Pickup vs BE 6 Sporteq: Two Different Bets
The two upcoming Mahindra products highlight the company’s strategy of expanding into different parts of the premium mobility market.
The Scorpio-N pickup will appeal to buyers looking for a rugged lifestyle vehicle with off-road capability and cargo-carrying practicality. The BE 6 Sporteq, meanwhile, is aimed at customers seeking an electric SUV with a futuristic design and a more technology-rich cabin.
The launches also come as Mahindra continues to strengthen its SUV portfolio. The company has been adding technology and premium features across its range, including Level 2 ADAS on the Scorpio-N’s Z8L variant.
What to Expect on August 14 and August 15
The Scorpio-N pickup’s global debut on August 14 should provide the first clear look at the production-specification vehicle, including its engine options, dimensions, payload capability, drivetrain and global-market plans.
A day later, the BE 6 Sporteq will make its India debut, with Mahindra expected to announce its price, battery options, range, features and booking details.
