Flights between India and the UAE continued to face delays and cancellations on Sunday, with several services from Indian cities delayed by more than 10 hours, according to Khaleej Times.

Among the worst affected were flights from Kochi, Jaipur and Amritsar, with some services delayed by nearly 14 hours. Passengers have been advised to check their flight status with their respective airlines before travelling.

According to flight-status information cited by Khaleej Times, Air India Express flight IX 192 from Amritsar was delayed by 11 hours and 55 minutes. Its Kochi service, IX 432, was delayed by 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Air India flight AI 4210 from New Delhi was delayed by 1 hour and 30 minutes, while SpiceJet flight SG 5158 from Jaipur was delayed by almost 12 hours. Its departure, originally scheduled for 12:15 am UAE time on Sunday, was pushed to 10:30 pm.

SpiceJet flight SG 5117 from Kochi faced an even longer delay of 13 hours and 55 minutes. The service, originally scheduled to depart at 3:40 pm on September 13, was rescheduled for 1:45 am on September 14.

Meanwhile, Flydubai flight FZ 1111 to Tel Aviv was cancelled on Sunday, although flights FZ 1081 and FZ 1125 were scheduled to operate, according to the report.

Flights To Abu Dhabi

Several services to Abu Dhabi also reported delays, although these were considerably shorter than those affecting some India-UAE flights.

Etihad flights from Kuwait, Copenhagen, Madrid, Zurich, Malaga, Manchester, Casablanca and Lisbon were delayed by between 23 and 37 minutes. Its flight EY014 from Atlanta was delayed by 1 hour and 31 minutes, while EY160 from Warsaw was delayed by 1 hour and 27 minutes.

Air Arabia flight 3LO44 from Kathmandu was delayed by 36 minutes, while flights 3L442 from Yerevan and 3L715 from Tbilisi were delayed by 22 and 27 minutes respectively. Flight 3L764 from Tashkent was delayed by 1 hour and 21 minutes.

Pakistan International Airlines flight PK217 from Peshawar was delayed by 15 minutes.

Khaleej Times reported that despite delays and cancellations, most UAE carriers continued to operate at near-full capacity, with airlines also adding new destinations for the coming months. Airlines have urged passengers to continue checking flight timings on their respective websites.
