For Anant Chaturdashi, Pune Metro will operate continuously for 41 hours, allowing devotees and residents attending late-night Ganesh Visarjan celebrations to use the service.
With large numbers of devotees expected to take part in Ganesh Visarjan on September 25, Pune Metro has introduced special arrangements to manage the anticipated rush and facilitate smoother passenger movement.
The Metro administration has changed the entry and exit gates at six important stations for the entire day on Friday. The arrangements are aimed at keeping passenger flows separate and reducing crowding at station entrances and exits.

The revised arrangements will be in place at PCMC, Deccan Gymkhana, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Park, SNDT, Garware College and Civil Court/PMC stations.

Metro To Run For 41 Hours
In another major measure for Anant Chaturdashi, Pune Metro will operate continuously for 41 hours, allowing devotees and residents attending late-night Ganesh Visarjan celebrations to use the service.
The extended operation is intended to provide a public transport option for passengers travelling during the night and early morning hours when immersion processions are expected to continue across the city.
Special Arrangements To Continue Through Friday
The revised entry and exit arrangements will remain in effect throughout Friday, September 25. Normal arrangements at the six stations will resume on Saturday.
Passengers have been advised to check the designated entry and exit points at their respective stations and use the gate corresponding to their direction of travel. The Metro administration has also appealed to commuters to follow the revised arrangements to help prevent confusion and crowding at stations.
What Passengers Should Keep In Mind
Those travelling by Pune Metro during the immersion celebrations should allow additional time for their journey, follow signage and staff instructions, and use only the designated entry or exit gates at the six affected stations.
