Mahindra XUV 700 facelift to be called XUV 7XO: Debut date confirmed!
Homegrown Automaker Mahindra and Mahindra has dropped the first official teaser for the updated XUV700, which will debut with its refreshed name, XUV 7X0. Scheduled for its debut on January 5, 2026, the Mahindra XUV 7XO becomes the brand’s next combustion-engine model to adopt the updated naming convention, following the XUV 3XO, which transformed the XUV300 through a significant redesign.
In the teaser, Mahindra offers quick glimpses of several updated styling cues – a redesigned front grille, sharper tail-lamp elements, and a profile showcasing new C-shaped LED headlamps. The teaser also reveals that the new XUV 7XO sports new 7-shaped DRLs that wrap around the headlamp cluster, paired with trapezoidal LED lighting elements. The recently introduced XEV 9S somewhat inspires the overall look. A fresh set of alloy wheel designs is also anticipated, though Mahindra hasn’t revealed any details yet. Details about the XUV 7XO’s cabin are still under wraps, but it’s reasonable to expect Mahindra to carry over the triple-screen layout seen on the XEV 9e and 9S. The SUV is also likely to be offered in both 6, 5 and 7-seat configurations.
In terms of features, it’s expected to carry forward all the features from the XEV 9S such as a new key fob, auto parking, triple-screen dashboard layout comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch co-driver entertainment screen, ventilated front and rear seats, electric driver and passenger seats with memory, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech and a lot more. Mechanically, it’s expected to remain the same, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (197 bhp, 380 Nm) and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (182 bhp, up to 450 Nm). Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions, while select diesel variants should retain the option of AWD.Pricing for the XUV 7XO facelift is likely to see a modest increase over the current XUV700, depending on the additional equipment offered. With deliveries set to begin soon after its January debut, the refreshed model arrives at an opportune moment to maintain market momentum amid intensifying competition.
